Funny not funny. I don’t claim to know all of the answers. But I can tell you I have been with my husband for (dare I say?) since 1999. Yeah, we met when we were 5, no, not really. How about the meme that you should have to agree before marriage how many t-shirts your husband can own?! Or how about making sure the wife knows that dinner will be expected each night for the rest of her life.
Marriage is hard. But with the right mindset, you can make it fun. The first rule is there are no rules. The second rule is you have to go with the flow. The third rule is you have to hold your own unless you actually can’t. The fourth rule is you have to have a sense of humor. The fifth rule is sex, health and money issues cannot be unresolved. The sixth rule is that you have to remain a team, even though it doesn’t feel like it sometimes. The kids can’t come first.
